Why We Exist

Every generation prepares children for the future they expect

The challenge is that no generation has faced change as rapid as the one unfolding today.

Artificial intelligence is transforming how we learn, create, communicate, and work. While technology will continue to evolve, the qualities that make us uniquely human will become even more valuable.

The Imagination Project exists to ensure those qualities are intentionally developed, celebrated, and protected.

Because the future won't simply belong to those who know the most. It will belong to those who can imagine what doesn't exist yet.

What We Believe

Our beliefs guide everything we do

Every child is born imaginative

Imagination isn't a rare gift for a lucky few — it is the birthright of every child, waiting to be encouraged.

Imagination is the foundation

It is the root of innovation, empathy, resilience, and problem solving — the abilities that shape a meaningful life.

Curiosity over memorization

The questions a child dares to ask matter more than the facts they can recite back on a test.

Creativity as a core subject

Creative thinking should be cultivated as intentionally as reading and mathematics — not left to chance.

Technology should expand us

Technology should expand human potential, never replace it — a tool for imagination, not a substitute for it.

Every child deserves the chance

Every child deserves opportunities to wonder, create, and dream — regardless of circumstance.

Our Mission

We help the next generation grow more human, not less

We inspire and equip parents, educators, communities, and organizations to intentionally cultivate imagination in the next generation.

Through storytelling, educational resources, research, partnerships, speaking, and community initiatives, we are helping build a future where every child develops the uniquely human abilities that technology can never replace.

Our work is not about resisting artificial intelligence. It is about ensuring humanity grows alongside it.

Why Imagination Matters

Imagination is the starting point of every breakthrough

Before there was a cure, someone imagined it. Before there was flight, someone imagined it. Before every invention, work of art, business, and scientific discovery, someone first asked:

“What if?”

In a world where machines can increasingly answer questions, the people who shape the future will be the ones courageous enough to ask new ones.

Join the Movement

The future is something we imagine and build together

The future is not something we inherit. Whether you're a parent, educator, business leader, donor, volunteer, or lifelong learner, you can help ensure imagination continues to thrive for generations to come.
